Breast Cancer Screening

A comprehensive screening program combining digital mammography, breast ultrasound, clinical examination, and self‑exam education – designed for early detection and prevention of breast cancer.

Overview

Early detection saves lives.

Breast cancer screening is a proactive approach to detecting breast cancer in its earliest stages – often before symptoms appear. At Amytri Diagnostics, we offer a comprehensive breast cancer screening program that combines state‑of‑the‑art imaging (digital mammography, breast ultrasound, elastography) with clinical breast examination and patient education. This integrated approach maximises the chance of detecting cancer early, when treatment is most effective and less invasive.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, but when caught early, the 5‑year survival rate exceeds 95%. Regular screening is the key – women who undergo routine screening are more likely to have smaller tumours, less aggressive treatment, and better outcomes. Our screening program is designed for asymptomatic women with no breast complaints, as well as for those with risk factors who need closer monitoring.

At Amytri, our team of experienced radiologists, gynaecologists, and breast health specialists work together to provide a seamless, compassionate screening experience. We tailor the screening modality based on your age, breast density, and risk profile – ensuring you receive the most appropriate and effective screening.

What our breast cancer screening program includes

  • Digital Mammography – high‑resolution X‑ray imaging for detecting microcalcifications and masses
  • Breast Ultrasound – radiation‑free imaging for evaluating dense breasts and lesions
  • Breast Elastography (if indicated) – measuring tissue stiffness to differentiate benign from malignant lesions
  • Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) – by a qualified gynaecologist or breast specialist
  • Breast Self‑Examination Education – learn how to perform monthly self‑exams
  • BI‑RADS Categorisation – standardised reporting for clear communication
  • Risk Assessment – evaluating family history, genetic factors, and lifestyle for personalised screening
  • CA 15‑3 Tumor Marker (if indicated) – blood test for monitoring in high‑risk individuals
  • Consultation and Follow‑up – clear guidance on next steps based on results
Why it matters

Essential for early detection & survival.

Breast cancer screening is the single most effective way to detect breast cancer early – when treatment is less aggressive, less invasive, and more successful.

Detection

Detect cancer up to 2 years early

Mammography can detect microcalcifications and masses long before they become palpable – enabling early, less aggressive treatment and better outcomes.

Empowerment

Take control of your health

Regular screening empowers you to monitor your breast health and make informed decisions – reducing anxiety and ensuring you are not caught off guard.

Prevention

Prevent advanced disease

Early detection means less aggressive treatment, better cosmetic outcomes, and a higher quality of life. Regular screening saves lives – and breasts.

What we offer

Comprehensive breast cancer screening services.

We provide a full spectrum of screening tools – tailored to your age, risk factors, and breast density – for the most accurate detection possible.

Digital Mammography

The gold standard for breast cancer screening – detects microcalcifications and masses with high resolution and low radiation dose.

Breast Ultrasound

Essential for women with dense breasts – radiation‑free imaging that evaluates masses and cysts, often used as a complement to mammography.

Breast Elastography

Advanced technique measuring tissue stiffness – helps differentiate benign from malignant lesions, reducing unnecessary biopsies.

Clinical Breast Examination

Performed by a trained gynaecologist or breast specialist – a thorough physical exam to detect any palpable abnormalities.

BI‑RADS & Risk Assessment

Standardised reporting ensures clear communication. We also evaluate your risk factors (family history, genetics, lifestyle) to personalise screening frequency.

Self‑Exam Education & Follow‑up

Learn how to perform monthly self‑exams. If screening identifies something, we guide you through next steps – additional imaging, biopsy, or specialist referral.

Is it for you?

Breast cancer screening is recommended for every woman.

All women should discuss screening with their doctor – especially those with risk factors or symptoms.

Age 40+ (routine screening)

Annual or biennial screening mammography is recommended for all women starting at age 40 – even with no symptoms.

Family history of breast cancer

If your mother, sister, or daughter has had breast cancer, start screening earlier – typically 10 years before the age of diagnosis in your relative.

Dense breasts or previous benign biopsy

If you have dense breast tissue or a history of benign breast conditions, you may benefit from more frequent or additional screening (ultrasound, MRI).

Genetic risk (BRCA, etc.)

If you carry BRCA1/2 or other high‑risk genetic mutations, early and frequent screening (often with MRI) is essential.

Personal history of breast cancer

If you have been treated for breast cancer, regular screening is vital for detecting recurrence or new cancers.

Anxiety about breast health

If you are worried about breast cancer, screening provides reassurance – and if something is found, early detection saves lives.
